By Monday, when everybody forgets about it, the "revised" number is released and it's always worse than the original Thursday number. Really. How dumb does the government think we are. And how disingenuous of the Times to print it without this kind of perspective and context. The economy is limping. The GDP Growth Rate is a measly 1.2% if that. Home ownership is down to 68%, the lowest since 1995 and we're trillions in the hole. As usual, the Times is putting lipstick on the pig and declaring "ain' she cute."
