Which year are you in? lasix renal dose ceiling Two months into Spain’s war, on September 5, 1936, at the battle of Cerro Muriano, Capa captured Loyalist Militiaman at the Moment of Death (or The Falling Soldier). The photograph is more famous today than it was during the war, and its story is a complex one which tells us more about ourselves and society’s changing relationship to war photography than it does about the conditions of the fighting at the time. To the Republicans the Falling Soldier symbolised the bravery of the fighters. More than that, it was a weapon, because it won hearts – and perhaps, indirectly, fighters. The image was also something of a trophy to their enemies, representing a good shot (of the gun).
