Last week I took my final escape of the year, from the chilly climes of Britain to the Caribbean. Hidden amid the more popular tourist islands is a tiny little gem called Bequia, which is an emerald green and hilly outpost of the Grenadines. It’s just seven square miles and has a population of 5,000. The capital, Port Elizabeth is filled with chickens, dogs and colourful wooden buildings.
