You may get a C067 error when attempting to restore the user.
The C067 is always that the database in question is found on disk but is not registered in the guardian database. [https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7002351] But in the case of one customer the user database (usernnn.db) did not exist, because we were trying to restore it. Obviously a paradox. Stopping the POA and restarting cleared the error and the user was able to be restored. If this persists the wphost.db may have to be rebuilt.

How to restore a user that was deleted from GroupWise 2014.

There are addition instructions if the user was recreated in GroupWise.

[edit] Restoring a Deleted User

In the Reload Web Console:

  • Go to the domain profile and download the wpdomain.db from the backup that still contains the user.
  • Copy that file to the GroupWise server, it works much faster when it is local.
  • Go to GroupWise Web Administration
  • Select the domain that the user was originally in
  • Go to System/Recover Deleted Account
    • Browse to the file
    • Select the user
    • Click recover
  • Go to Users and make sure that user recovered to the system.
  • Login as the user using GroupWise Client (there will be no mail, which is a separate step)

[edit] Troubleshooting

You may get a C067 error when attempting to restore the user. "The C067 is always that the database in question is found on disk but is not registered in the guardian database." [1] But in the case of one customer the user database (usernnn.db) did not exist, because we were trying to restore it. Obviously a paradox. Stopping the POA and restarting cleared the error and the user was able to be restored. If this persists the wphost.db may have to be rebuilt.

Restoring the user to a different domain may cause ownership issues. Make sure to restore to the domain the user was deleted from.
