In the absence of solid research, Iâm willing to bet the effect of social media is much bigger than magazines or TV, at least from hearing my daughterâs own words: âWhen you open a magazine you can feel a little less confident by looking at the perfect photoshopped model, but at the end of the day you realize itâs not realistic at all and that they are airbrushed. But when you see it on social media and in your group of friends itâs more realistic and youâre more influenced.â | |
