Tyndale made the Bible accessible to &ldquo;every ploughboy&rdquo; and, with his ear for the poetry and rhythm of the language, invented countless phrases that we still use daily, such as &ldquo;Let there be light&rdquo; and &ldquo;the powers that be&rdquo;.
