This isn~~'t some remote county road, but a major paved road used by thousands daily to get between Drake, Estes and what locals call "the flats" -- Loveland, Fort Collins and the rest of the cities at the base of the mountains. The canyon is normally an incredibly scenic drive, and I braced myself for the devastation everyone told me I was about to see. I didn't have to wait long. Workers at small resort hotels and inns flooded by the water had already piled flood-damaged debris roadside for collection.	+	I am my own person.
